Today’s outreach was awesome- we felt like today went so so well! People were grateful, super open for prayer, etc.
Someone who really stood out to one of our volunteers, Joshua, was a guy named Brian. When they asked if he would like any food or supplies he said no, and that he actually really just wanted prayer. He went on to share his story with addiction and his frustration of not being able to be free from opiate addiction. His heart and frustrations were extremely genuine, and he actually had a very good and deep understanding of Jesus! They were able to pray for him and encourage him a bit.
Some post-outreach prayer requests:
- Trish: pray that she can find people to share life with, as she’s lived 27 years in Colorado alone and her family is dying.
- David: pray that he is able to build his self-control and resist lust.
- Mortis: pray that he can find stability in his life.
- Dana: pray that she is able to find a better and safer place to move to.
- Ruby: pray that she finds the strength and resources to get off drugs.
- Marlene: pray for her brother John to heal and recover from his cancer diagnosis.
- Ayesha: pray for her son, Joseph, that he would be able to get his work papers.
- Armonia: pray for provision, as her belongings were stolen.
- Tex: pray that she can gain sobriety and better health.
- David: pray that he can have strength and better health.
- Ronny: he asked for prayer for forgiveness, so pray that he can begin to understand what we talked about and how Jesus offers forgiveness freely so he can live without shame.
- Cason: pray that he can find food more consistently and for drug use recovery.
- Jessica: pray for her health to improve.
